Acoustic Guitar

Ages 5+

In our lessons we will work through the fundamentals of guitar playing, all the way to the advanced techniques. We will talk about the ins and outs of music, and what makes a certain song so powerful.
We will develop the technique of improvising solos, as well as learning songs note for note. We’ll focus on learning songs by ear, as well as learning from traditional music notation. We’ll focus on what it’s like to play in a band setting, and also the importance of accompanying yourself on the instrument. If interested, you will learn how to be a working musician, and what the qualities are that make one employable.
We’ll talk about writing and recording music, and the tools you’ll need. We’ll learn how to prepare for a performance, and how to convince the audience that you are meant to be on that stage.
